Having never painted a still life before, I decided to choose relatively simple subjects, focusing more on creating contrast and harmony throughout the whole piece.

After visiting Celebration, Florida, a small but picturesque town in Orlando, I decided to use one of the pictures I had taken as a reference and paint the town using impressionistic techniques.
